lpa district map.jpeg
The United States is separated into thirteen different LPA (Little People of America) districts. Look at the map below to find your district!
Why is the United States split up into different districts?

The United States is split up into thirteen different districts, or sections, in order to make connecting with others more accessible. Instead of traveling across the country to attend an event, you are able to stay within your region.

What events do the districts host?

Each district hosts both a Fall regional and a Spring regional. These events, hosted at a hotel in your region, allow the people from your district to join together. These regional events include time to meet with medical specialists, time for parents to connect, and fun activities for little people and their families.

What are the requirements to join LPA and how can I join?

According to LPA, Membership is available to individuals with a medical diagnosis of dwarfism or form of short stature, as well as their families, grandparents, relatives, and all medical professionals."

Are there organizations similar to LPA for people living outside of the United States?

Yes! This list, provided by LPA, provides links to similar organizations in countries around the world.

Is there any way to connect with others online?

Yes! The online community of little people and parents of little people (POLP) is an excellent way to connect. Social media sites such as Facebook or Instagram are sites that allow you to add friends or join groups in order to discuss all things dwarfism. Each LPA district has a Facebook group and there are also POLP groups. These groups are incredibly helpful not only for making connections but also asking questions to others who are facing similar situations.
